Purdue Extension Tippecanoe County is proud to be partnering with Willowstone Family Services to offer the Strengthening Families Program:
The Strengthening Families Program is for ALL families with youth between the ages of 10-14.

It is a seven week program that focuses on building family skills in order to increase family strengths.

The program emphasizes improving family relationships, parenting skills, and cultivating youth's social and life skills.

Topics covered include:
bettering communication skills
problem solving
goal setting
understanding each other better
peer pressure resistance
reducing stress, and more

The World Health Organization named the Strengthening Families Program: For Parents and Youth 10-14 as the number one prevention program out of 6,000 programs analyzed for long-term effects on substance use and misuse. For every dollar spent on this program, $9.60 comes back to the community as benefits in the form of less jail time, less time off work, and less time in treatment. We're looking forward to seeing the impact and benefits within our community!
