    Position: Communications / Social Media Volunteer

    Description:

    The Communications/Social Media Volunteer will manage the promotion of Willowstone’s services and fundraising campaigns, create content, compose internal and external communications, and complete other related duties. The volunteer will gain experience with communications in a small nonprofit setting and the process of social media marketing.

    Volunteer Responsibilities:

    • Manage social media promotion of “Penny Harvest 2.0” fundraising campaign
    • Create and manage other social media posts as needed
    • Manage website and compose news pieces as needed
    • Compose bimonthly external newsletter
    • Compile monthly internal newsletter
    • Create promotional and informational content as needed


    Volunteering Hours & Details:
    The Communications/Social Media Volunteer should anticipate volunteering 5-10 hours per week.

    After initial meeting, most responsibilities may be completed from home (virtually) if desired. Office space is available if needed.

    The Communications/Social Media Volunteer will report to Fiona Akomolede, Development Director.

    Requirements:

    • Great written communication skills
    • Familiar with Facebook and Instagram
      (Note: Personal or hobby accounts qualify as acceptable experience)
    • Education and/or experience in Communications, English/Writing, Marketing, or Graphic Design a plus (Not required)

    Position: Billing and Quality Assurance Specialist: Full Time

    Description:

    Reporting to the Finance Director and in partnership with the AR Billing Coordinator, the Specialist will be responsible for all aspects of client billing for Counseling and other programs and facilitate the Quality Assurance Program.


    Responsibilities

    • Coordinate with the Finance Director and the AR Billing Coordinator to ensure that services are billed appropriately and that client charts are maintained as per Willowstone’s Policies and Procedures.
    • Apply for and update provider Panels
    • Updating and maintaining proper procedures for client data and billing information
    • Answer client questions to hep them understand their accounts and any action required from them.
    • Apply payments, process denials, and set up payment arrangements for past due clients and collection of past due accounts.
    • Specialist will review closed charts to insure accuracy of documented billing codes and various policies and procedures regarding record keeping.
    • Specialist will represent the agency in a professional manner and maintain the necessary strict confidentiality regarding the program and client billing matters of the agency. This person will keep accurate records and accounts for agency clients and insurance payments.
    • Collects and analyzes client demographic data.
    • Other duties as necessary or as assigned.

    Requirements:

    • Must have an Associate’s degree in Business or Medical Billing and Coding.
    • Experience in customer services and accounts receivable is preferred but not required.
    • Has experience or able to demonstrate the knowledge of medical billing regulations and CPT codes. Will keep up to date by studying new insurance and billing regulations, participate in educational opportunities and by reading professional publications.
    • The understanding and ability to prepare and interpret billing reports and documentation are a must. This person will be able to meet multiple deadlines, work in a fast-paced environment and be able to multitask. They will be able to recognize and respond to the needs of clients and the agency.
    • The ability to use the following software is required: Microsoft office programs, medical billing software and Adobe Acrobat. This person must have good written and oral communication skills and must have high level of operating competency with computer and computer software related to the position.
    • Demonstrated ability to work effectively with people of diverse races, ethnicities, ages, socio-economic statuses, immigration statuses, and genders.
    • Attention to detail in administrative and data entry duties.

    Position: Baby Talk Specialist

    Willowstone Family Services, Lafayette, IN

    Description:

    This person will be responsible for visits with families of new babies at local hospitals to provide/distribute resource information for the Baby Talk and the Healthy Families programs.

    Requirements:

    • Visit with new parents in the hospital after they give birth
    • Ability to provide linkage to community resources
    • Demonstrate good interpersonal skills
    • Demonstrate good written communication skills
    • Have experience working with children and families
    • Ability to work a flexible schedule. No nights or weekends
    • Reliable transportation
    • Will need to pass background checks

  • Willowstone Family Services Counseling

    Position: Licensed Therapist

    Status:

    Full-time/Part-time

    Location:

    Willowstone Family Services

    Description:

    Serve clients by providing therapeutic counseling in individual, family and group settings. Fluency in Spanish is a plus but not required.

    Requirements:

    • Knowledge:  Staff therapist a) has experience with and ability to implement theoretical knowledge required to engage clients, diagnose, assess, create treatment plans, provide crisis intervention and provide clinical services to individuals, families, and groups; b) is familiar with and abides by the National Association of Social Worker’s Code of Professional Ethics;  and c) will update professional knowledge by participating in educational opportunities, reading professional publications, maintaining personal networks, and otherwise maintaining the CEU requirements as set forth by the Indiana Professional Licensing Agency.


    • Abilities: Will represent the agency in a professional manner and maintain client confidentiality as outlined in HIPAA guidelines. Will also keep accurate and timely records per policies and procedures (including Initial Assessments, Progress Notes, Goal Plans and Updates, paperwork and forms required by insurance companies and/or other entities paying for services, as well as timely closing of files) and maintain program statistics for agency in regards to funding sources and contract obligations. 

      

    • Skills: Must have good written and oral communication skills, must have high level of operating competency with computer and the computer software related to the position. Has the ability to operate Word, Outlook, the internet, and any other software required in performing the job. 


    • Physical Essentials: Must be able to handle the physical demands of meeting with clients, maintaining productivity expectations, and timely completion of paperwork.  


    • Environmental Factors: Must be able to work in office environment which may or may not have air conditioning.  


    • Credentials/Experience: A Master's Degree in Social Work, Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, or Clinical Psychology with a current license in the State of Indiana. Must be in good standing with the Indiana State licensing board. Prefer three years post-license experience. Must be willing to comply with Willowstone’s non-compete policy.
